Dr. Sidhbh (“Sive”) Gallagher is originally from Ireland. She became an Assistant Professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2015. She earned her medical degree from the University College Dublin, in Ireland, where she graduated in the top 3% of her class. She then came to the United States to complete a general surgery residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia becoming a board certified general surgeon. After which she completed a fellowship in plastic surgery with the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she has now made a home for her practice.
Dr. Gallagher has a passion for gender reassignment surgery and finds this to be the most rewarding community of patients to be honored to work with. Once completing her schooling and joining IU Health, she went traveling about the world to gain the necessary training on these specific set of procedures. She has trained with many practices here in the USA as well as physicians in Ghent, Belgium, Serbia and Sydney, Australia.
While not practicing she loves running and kite-surfing as well as drawing and painting. She has a pilot’s license and is passionate about travel. She enjoys visiting family in Ireland, the south of France and the middle-east.Go Back
